Pig Processing
In October, we got a hold of two squealing weaner Berkshire piglets after years of consideration, deliberation and uncertainty.
We were lying in bed one morning, flicking through the John Seymour book, The Complete Book of Self Sufficiency when we came across the pig chapter, ten minutes later we decided we were going to commit. We decided on a location, already had a pig-hut, noticed some pigs locally, cold-called to their house - and by that afternoon had organised to pick up two pigs, three days later.
On the Sunday the 8th of March we are running our first workshop, co-hosted with long-time butcher, Wayne Fulton.
